I walked out of the post office today to discover that the wind was blowing so hard that the little grains of sand were blasting the skin off my bones. Who needs a microdermabrasian visit when you live in Florida? The street signs were threatening to shake off their posts. And I thought I was in one of those frightening pre-hurricane news clips. Chris said that this was the windiest it got in Florida, which, of course, I didn't believe. Would you believe him after he kept telling me that this was the hottest it was going to be in Florida? And we know what happened the next day now don't we?

I don't put a limit on books. Or bags. But I get real lazy and try to stuff everything in my pockets to keep my hands free. Plus, the bags you can pick up at a street fair are pretty cheap. I just got 2 for $15 each.

That's because you live in New York and actually have decent street fairs. It's a cultural wasteland here. Everything is geared towards the theme parks and the resort hotels.
