Answering Other People’s Cell Phone
Aug. 2nd, 2010 09:00 amA long while ago, while Chris was driving, his cell phone rang. I looked to see who it was and it turned out to be his Dad. So I picked up the phone and in the lowest voice I could manage, I said, “Hello, this is Chris.”
There was a long pause as his dad was trying to determine who had picked up the phone and perhaps wondered if Chris’s cell phone had been stolen.
But then Chris’s dad, who has a South African accent, replied in a high falsetto voice, in a British accent, “Hello Chris, this is your motha!”
I just about died laughing.
