Merlin

Have any of you been watching Merlin. I don’t even know what channel it’s on or what time. I’ve been watching it on Hulu.com and I’m enjoying it.

They’ve changed things a little bit from what I remember the story to be. Merlin and Arthur are the same age. Lady Morgana is Uther’s ward and not the sister (as far as we know). Gweneviere is Morgana’s maidservant.

It’s set in the time when Uther is ruling (Played by Buffy’s Giles! Anthony Stewart Head). And all of the main characters seem to be in their early 20’s though I’m sure they’re supposed to be younger. Uther has outlawed magic(poor Merlin! How is he supposed to learn it?). And there is a dragon living in the depths of the castle. Or rather, he’s been chained there. All other dragons have been killed.

A few of the episodes, I could have done without. Like the one about Lancelot, but the other ones aren’t so bad. It’s pretty much a monster of the week story so far, but they’re trying to weave in prophecy and destiny into the story. Some of the boys need better haircuts, but they really didn’t have great hairstylists back in Camelot.
