Going Gray

This morning, I found a gray hair. It started turning gray about four inches ago. At first, I thought I was getting old. Because graying hair mean that I'm aging, right? And then I thought of all the things I wanted to do before I died. You know, like go to Morocco and haggle over the price of a thimble. And then I realized that I was being ridiculous. All this happened in the span of about two seconds. I remember when I was about 12 and my mother had pulled out a gray hair from my head. At the time, I was really worried about the superstition that if you pulled out a gray hair, it would come back as five more gray hairs. And I was worried about going gray before I was 18. It didn't turn out to be the case though. I don't have a head full of gray hairs. Just this one strand. At least as far as I can see.
